This Privacy Policy explains how Villa4You, operated by One 5 Resources, of 14-1B, Jalan Bandar 7, Pusat Bandar Puchong, 47100 Puchong, Selangor, Malaysia collects, uses and protects your personal data when you book with us, in accordance with the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).
1. What we collect
We only collect what we need to process your booking:
- Contact details — your name and WhatsApp number.
- Booking details — chosen villa, check-in/check-out dates and number of guests.
- Payment proof — the screenshot or receipt you upload to confirm your deposit. We do not collect or store your card, bank login or full account credentials.
2. How we use it
- To check availability, confirm your booking and block your dates.
- To communicate with you about your booking over WhatsApp (approval, payment link, confirmation, reminders).
- To verify your deposit payment.
- To meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations.
We process your data on the basis of your consent (given when you submit a booking request) and our legitimate interest in fulfilling your booking.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary to deliver your booking:
- The owner or on-site manager of the villa you book, to coordinate your stay.
- WhatsApp / Meta Platforms, as the messaging channel we use to contact you.
- Government authorities where we are legally required to disclose.
4. How long we keep it
We keep booking records for as long as needed to service your stay and to comply with Malaysian tax and accounting requirements, after which the data is deleted or anonymised. Payment-proof files are retained only as long as needed to verify and document the transaction.
5. How we protect it
Payment-proof uploads are stored in access-controlled cloud storage and are reachable only through a private, unguessable booking link. Access to booking records is restricted to authorised Villa4You staff.
